About Artist
Amin Khelghat
Amin Khelghat is an Iranian-born, Germany-based fine art photographer and lens-based artist whose work critically investigates the intersection of human existence, spatial psychology, and architectural grandeur. Characterized by high-contrast monochrome palettes and precise geometric framing, his photography turns monolithic urban environments into quiet arenas of contemplation. At the heart of Khelghat’s artistic vision lies the project Urban Tales—an ongoing visual inquiry into human solitude, transit, and structural isolation within modern landscapes. Through intense stark contrasts, deep directional shadows, and sweeping brutalist lines, his compositions isolate the solitary human form against monumental concrete facades. Rather than framing architecture merely as a physical background, Khelghat treats it as an active existential force that shapes, compresses, and echoes human consciousness. Honored with an Honorable Mention at the International Photography Awards (IPA 2026) and frequently curated across prestigious platforms including Leica Fotografie International (LFI), Khelghat’s imagery balances cold, clinical brutalism with a deeply poetic sense of stillness. His frames—captured in cities like Lisbon, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, and Cologne—serve as silent meditations on scale, identity, and the subtle traces left by individuals inside structured voids.
