Sharron Demarest: My passion for photography was ignited as a high school senior when I acquired a plastic $3.98 Diana camera. My real start in photography began as a darkroom technician for various New York-based photographers, including W. Eugene Smith, notable for his WW lI photography and documentation of the city of Pittsburgh. My works have been collected by McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and private collections in NYC and Florida.
