Ed Healy has been an active member of the Buffalo, New York photo community for the past 25 years, participating in CEPA Gallery’s annual members show and biennial auctions and being honored with a solo show, “Buffalo by Night,” in 2005. He series, “Only the Stones Remain: Kayaking the Buffalo River,” was exhibited at Buffalo’s Studio Hart gallery in 2009. More recently, he has had work accepted in numerous juried exhibitions at museums and galleries across the United States, including the Erie Art Museum in Erie, PA, the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts in Providence, RI, the Praxis Gallery in Minneapolis, MN, PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, VT, Decagon Gallery in Brooklyn, NY, and the Southeast Center for Photography in Greenville, SC. He is a graduate of the University at Buffalo and the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He received additional training in photography at SUNY Purchase.
