Her award-winning book, An Ordinary Day: Kids with Rare Genetic Conditions focused on kids struggling with rare genetic diseases, led to a subsequent book, After that Day: Stories of Epilepsy. Karen and her creative production team work worldwide on video and photography projects for many of the biggest agencies across many genres including corporate, pharma, hospitality, lifestyle, and travel. When she is not on set, Karen teaches photography at the 92y, and lectures across the country. Her award winning corporate and artwork have been published and exhibited internationally. She has curated exhibitions and collaborated with iconic photographers like Annie Leibovitz, Elliot Erwitt, Joyce Tenneson, & Bruce Davidson. She serves on the Board of American Society of Media Professionals and Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation and is an active member of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense, PPA, APA and Women in Photography. Karen's loves shooting from a helicopter and capturing the the Milky Way on a clear night. She resides in NYC with her husband, kids, and golden mountain doodle, Aiko.
