Short bio I am a Dutch mountain photographer, living in Astria, whose work explores the beauty, fragility and transformation of alpine landscapes. I am particularly drawn to glaciers, snow and ice, as well as the relationship between people and extreme mountain environments. My work has received international awards and has been exhibited across Europe. I grew up in an artistic family and spent much of my childhood painting and drawing. When I was nine, I saw the mountains for the first time during a family holiday and immediately fell in love with them. A year later, I received my first camera and discovered another way of expressing that fascination: searching for composition, light and colour in the landscape. Today, photography — and mountain photography in particular — has become a true passion and an essential part of my life. I spend much of my time photographing, developing long-term projects and editing my work. My work has also been shown in more than 20 exhibitions in galleries and exhibition spaces in Geneva, Zurich, Berlin, Munich, Vienna and Amsterdam.
