About Artist
Ricardo Pareyón Aveleyra
I was born in Mexico City. I work with photography, frame by frame animation, film and video. My first approach to photography was in high school, the school where I studied had a workshop and there I learned the basics. After a series of personal explorations, I began to experiment with music, then with animation, experimental film and video. For a while I only worked with photography as part of the moving image, but over the years the path has led me back to still photography. I like street photography. I am interested in images as fragments of a past time, as traces of memory. Photography has taught me to observe the world around me and has allowed me to appreciate the beauty that can be found in the simplest moments and the unexpected situations that can be observed if you take the time to look.
