Marilyn studied painting and art history at Texas Christian University during the 1980s. A trip to Africa in the late 1990s sparked a passion for photography as her creative medium of choice. Her early portfolios focused on spiritual practices in Mexico and Guatemala. A trip to Tanzania in 2013 revealed how much trouble the animals were in, and the series, “At Risk” began.
