About Artist
Willy Paul
I love photography and I love many genres of photography, therefore I have a varied portfolio of images. I am primarily a black and white photographer and I look for those people, things and moments that make me pause, cause me to smile, or take my breath away. High contrast black and white is what I love most and I try to make the best image possible every time I photograph. Landscapes, portraits, and abstracts draw most of my attention as nature is a quieting force, I love engagement with people, and from my architectural background I tend to see things in shapes, patterns, and textures, scale, proportion, and spacing which are evident in many scenes which can go unnoticed. I strongly believe that photography is an art form more than a craft, although understanding our craft is vitally important, I try my best to function as an artist with the camera as my tool. I try not only to photograph things for what they are, but for what else they are. Thank you Minor White!
