Where the Water Moves
About Artist
Abby Keeler
Hi! I’m Abby Keeler, a photographer passionate about capturing the unique personalities of pets, wildlife, and the natural world. With over 12 years of photography experience, I specialize in creating images that tell a story and celebrate the connection between animals and humans. My journey started in high school, where I competed in the Skills Canada provincial photography competition three times, earning second place twice. Since then, I’ve honed my craft and am currently expanding my skills through the VanArts Professional Photography Program, exploring creative techniques and storytelling through images. I love photographing pets in ways that reveal their individuality—whether it’s the quiet wisdom of a senior cat, the playful energy of an agility dog, or the fascinating behaviors of exotic animals. Every session is a chance to capture authentic moments that are often overlooked, turning them into lasting memories for owners and viewers alike. Beyond pets, I enjoy wildlife and nature photography, aiming to foster appreciation for the natural world and the animals we share it with. My style is thoughtful and intentional, balancing technical skill with creativity and patience, so every subject feels seen, comfortable, and celebrated. Through my work, I hope to create images that spark joy, connection, and curiosity—encouraging people to notice the little moments and personalities that make each animal special. Whether it’s a playful glance, a serene portrait, or a dynamic action shot, I strive to capture the essence of every subject I photograph. I believe every pet has a story to tell, and my goal is to preserve those stories in ways that are meaningful, genuine, and timeless. Thank you for visiting my portfolio—I’m excited to share the world through my lens and explore new stories, one photograph at a time.
