About Artist
Nancy Arehart
In 2012, I discovered my love for photography, initially embracing it as a weekend hobby. Joining local camera clubs, I immersed myself in learning from fellow enthusiasts, evolving into a true generalist capturing landscapes, people, macro details, and the enchanting night skies. During the challenging times of Covid travel restrictions, I redirected my lens to the wild beauty of eastern NC, focusing particularly on the captivating black bears that inhabit the region. As my photographic journey unfolded, I found a deeper purpose by channeling my passion into conservation efforts. Now, my lens is dedicated to highlighting the need for improved wildlife crossings in NC, leveraging my imagery to advocate for safer passages for diverse wildlife. Additionally, I've committed myself to the cause of aiding the critically endangered red wolves, intertwining my photography with a profound mission for environmental preservation.
