About Artist
Terry Rochford
I began taking pictures as a child using my family's assortment of old Kodak and Polaroid cameras, but my true passion for photography was sparked when I had the opportunity to study under Minor White in college. It was the late 1960s, and much of my early work centered on capturing the tumult of that period, both in the United States and in Europe. Eventually a new family and a career in technology put my pursuit of serious photography on hold for many years, but it also gave me the chance to make more personal photos and explore new destinations. Now, having retired, I once again have the time and freedom to refocus on my early love of making and sharing images. Based near Boston Massachusetts, I remain primarily a documentary, travel, and street photographer capturing the events, places, and cultures I encounter. My most recent project deals with postwar Bosnia.
