My name is Filip Wieteska, and I am an analogue photographer based in Bremen, Germany. Photography, for me, is a way of exploring the relationship between place, memory, identity, and perception. I am interested in how spaces shape our experiences and how our experiences, in turn, impact the way we perceive those spaces. Cities are the central focus of my current work. I am fascinated by their ability to embody both order and chaos - forces that coexist and give every urban landscape its own unique identity. Through analogue double and multi exposures, I deconstruct and reconstruct architecture, seeking to reveal a place's rhythm and identity. Alongside my experimental architectural pieces, I practice street photography. In this work, people are rarely the sole protagonists. Instead, they become part of the larger composition that is the city itself. While urban environments remain at the heart of my practice, I also pursue more personal projects that explore lived experience, identity, memory, and nostalgia. Regardless of the subject, my work is driven by a curiosity about how we remember and connect with the spaces around us.
