I am an independent photographer based in Bucharest, Romania. I enjoy creating long-term projects around people I am interested in, their rituals and practices, paying attention to gestures and details that hold meaning for the people I photograph. “every ROUmanian. a recent history of: swimming” is a documentary project I have been working on since 2024, developed through several photo-series. The project is meant to capture a part of the image of performance — the ordinary, the unguarded. Through different photographic approaches, including documentary, abstract and portraiture, I am contributing to the visual archive of Romania’s recent swimming history.
