A portrait of unlayering, identity suspended between motion and stillness. Shot on film, layered in-camera, with florals and sheer fabric as thresholds between self and soul.
About Artist
Ugne Pouwell
Ugnė Pouwell makes photographs the way some people write letters they never send. Working with analog film, natural elements, and layered exposures, she shapes images that feel more like memory than documentation, slow, intimate, and slightly undone. Her work drifts between self portraiture, dreams, and natural decay, often using the body as both subject and vessel. It’s less about capturing a moment and more about revealing what lingers beneath it.
