Time through a dry leaf
Although time itself cannot be photographed, we can perceive it in the changes of the things and beings we capture through our lenses. In this photo, the past and future of a leaf intertwine in its semi-decadent present. As Heraclitus once said, "There is nothing permanent except change."

John Ferreira
I hold a Bachelor’s degree (2020), a Teaching degree (2021), and a Master’s degree (2024) in Philosophy from the University of Brasília (UnB). I have experience in the field of Philosophy, with an emphasis on Philosophy of Language. I first became interested in photography during my adolescence, but only recently have I started photographing again. I am passionate about visual narratives and a great admirer of Nan Goldin and Robert Mapplethorpe’s work.
