The Spaces We Lose
Most U.S. cities have dedicated up to half of their land to car-based infrastructure. These spaces become inhuman vacuums in our world. This project challenges the world we have dedicated to the automobile. This body of work contrasts the bleak nature of these spaces with the human form.
About Artist
Talon Belski
Talon Belski is a photographer and cinematographer from Whitefish, Montana, and a graduate of Montana State University with a BFA in Integrated Lens-Based Media. His photographic work focuses on low-light, landscape, and portraiture photography. He also specializes in digital infrared photography, which he utilized for his senior capstone project titled Signs of Life. He has acted as a cinematographer, gaffer, and colorist on multiple films, looking to bring his technical skills to collaborative projects. His most recent cinematography work, Marinate, won Best in Montana in the 2025 Montana 48hr Film Competition.
