Structured Rhythm
This image explores architecture not as a fixed object, but as a dynamic field of relations. Through repetition, angle, and light, the structure dissolves into a shifting visual rhythm. The viewer is invited to experience the moment before recognition, where form becomes abstraction and perception precedes meaning.
About Artist
Kijoo Bae
Kijoo Bae is a Seoul-based fine art photographer whose work explores abstraction through contemporary architecture. After a long professional career outside the arts, he began his photographic practice in 2012 and developed a distinctive visual language focused on fragments of buildings, geometry, rhythm, light, and perception. Rather than documenting architecture as recognizable structures, he transforms urban surfaces and details into poetic abstract images. He has held solo exhibitions in Seoul in 2019, 2021, and 2023, and presented invited solo exhibitions in the Seattle area, USA, in 2025. His ongoing project, Abstraction in Architecture, reflects his continuing interest in how cities can be reimagined through visual experience.
