Kevin Lohman is a wildlife photographer based in Santa Cruz, California. His work is inspired by years studying marine science and exploring the coastal landscapes of Central and Northern California, as well as many international destinations, and focuses on animal behavior, habitat, and the fragile connections between species and their environments. He actively supports conservation organizations by donating the use of his photographs to help raise awareness and funding for wildlife protection. His images have been published by National Geographic (online) and Outdoor Photographer, and recognized in numerous photography competitions, including the Audubon Photography Awards, Nature’s Best International, the International Share the View Nature Photography contest, the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) Showcase, and the Nikon Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards. Locally, his wildlife photographs are wrapped around several Santa Cruz METRO buses as part of the One Ride at a Time conservation campaign.
