My name is Eduardo Costa, and I was born and live in São Paulo, Brazil. Working with photography has been a dream since I was a teenager and has gradually come true over the past thirty years. I began learning photography through a few courses, but my influence and learning came over the years as an assistant in the studios of some important names in Brazilian photography. I consider them generous teachers. Alongside my commercial work, I develop photographic series with the clear intention of telling stories, both lived and dreamed. I am a photographer, and photography is my means of expression. I accept my inability to express feelings and emotions with words, but I sincerely strive to do so through images. I believe that images can be used to tell stories and, if done with power and honesty, can profoundly affect people, perhaps even moving and transforming them.
