Dan Poyourow was born and raised in the Washington DC area. He's been passionate about photography since he got his first camera at the age of twelve. Dan's interest in photography, and art in general, may have been genetic as several of his relatives were painters, photographers and cinematographers as far back as the 1920's. Architecture and landscapes have always been his favorite subject matter. The big influences in his career have been Ansel Adams, Richard Avedon, and Richard Misrach. They’ve all had their impact on his clean, classic and straightforward style. Dan has spent many years creating bold and dramatic images for a wide range of clients, combining both art and commerce.
