Ribka Malise
Ribka Malise is an Indonesian underwater photographer, visual storyteller, and dive leader whose work is rooted in a deep love for the ocean and a mission to tell stories that matter. Her journey began in childhood, spending evenings captivated by wildlife documentaries, particularly those featuring the underwater world. This early fascination grew into a lifelong passion for marine life, eventually evolving into a career that blends art, adventure, and conservation. Based in Indonesia, Ribka has access to some of the most biodiverse marine ecosystems in the world. She uses this privilege to document the fragile beauty of the ocean, bringing attention to coral reef health, ethical wildlife interactions, and the people whose lives are intimately connected to the sea. Her photography is often described as emotional, quiet, and intentional. Ribka’s work invites viewers to slow down and reflect. Her approach is driven by the belief that great ocean photography doesn’t just show what’s beneath the surface, it helps people care.
