Sepulchr (Untitled 17)
Sepulchr was the first draft of my thesis that explored growing up as a black woman in America. The imagery explores self portraiture while laying with my ancestors while I reflected the progress the country has made with their efforts and future changes that will effect my descendants lives.
About Artist
Jasmine Owens
Jasmine Owens was born and raised north of Atlanta in Powder Springs, Georgia. She is a graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design campus in Atlanta where she pursued a BFA and MFA in Photography and minored in Graphic Design. Throughout her studies, Jasmine has learned and been able to experiment with 35mm film, 4x5 film, digital, and aerial photography.
