Samburu Woman
It was early afternoon and the Samburu village was very quiet. I was sitting under a tree writing up my notes when I looked up and she was walking towards me. She didn't realise how perfectly framed she was by the tree branches. Fortunately my camera was next to me!

I am a portrait and documentary photographer based in the UK. My work takes me abroad on a regular basis - mainly to Kenya. I started my working life as a lawyer but it soon became apparent to my that my heart lay in photography. I retrained as a photographer and worked with various professionals and mentors to learn and gain valuable experience. I love what I do and feel lucky to be in this position.
