Learning to shoot in 1985 all thru' self taught, pretty sums up what I am. My genre of photography is very wide, but Street Shots remain my favourite. It offers an endless stream of creative possibilities which encompasses people in action, portraits of strangers, documentary, abstract art, and more. There is always something new every time you head out. It’s like a multi-faceted genre. Street photography can be one of the most challenging yet rewarding genres to work in. It demands for quick thinking, creating, composing and to act spontaneously with the subject matter. That brings about a new challenge in every situation that suits my style. You have to be a creator of shots to make a photo meaningful and I find it most rewarding. It is exciting to go out with the camera and not knowing if you are going to capture anything worthwhile. It helps keep your reflexes sharp. As nothing is set up or pre-arranged, you are completely dependent on chance.
