Project "Silent homophonies"

Homophony: A homophonous sound is a sound that has a different name and graphic representation (regardless of its duration) than another sound, but actually represents the same sound. For example, A sharp is a homotone sound with respect to Bb, or F is a homotone sound with respect to Gbb.

About Artist

Tamponi Giuseppe

Giuseppe Tamponi, born in Oristano on April 16, 1954, began his photography career in the late 1970s. Soon after, he set up his first darkroom for developing and printing black-and-white film. He then experimented for some time with developing slide film using the E6 process and printing slides on Cibachrome. He has explored all photographic genres, eventually settling on his current favorites: reportage (which includes concert photography) and portraiture. He has created numerous wedding services for friends and acquaintances and has published several images in photography magazines, especially the monthly magazine Reflex (now Fotografia Reflex) and the monthly magazine Fotografare. Activities Personal Exhibitions • 1995: "Is Iscrutzus" exhibition, held at the Cabras municipal library, dedicated to the procession of San Salvatore (known as the "Corsa degli scalzi"); • 1996 "Is Iscrutzus" exhibition at the Cocco & Dessì restaurant in Oristano; • 1997 "Images of Sartiglia" exhibition at the Lola Mundo bar in Oristano; • 2008 "Blues, Jazz and Surroundings" exhibition at the Cafesiňo bar in Oristano; • 2008 photography exhibition through the streets of Nureci as part of the "Mamma Blues" festival; • 2009 "An Island of Music" exhibition at Palazzo Boyl in Milis, during the New Wine Festival, featuring color images of Blues, Jazz, and Soul concerts in Sardinia; • 2010 music exhibition, also at Palazzo Boyl in Milis, during the "How to Photograph Music" workshop, featuring black-and-white images; • 2011 "An Island of Music" exhibition at the Cafesiňo bar in Oristano; • 2011 "Black & Blues" exhibition at the Lola Mundo bar in Oristano; • 2011 "12% of 50'anni suonati" exhibition at the Cafesiňo bar in Oristano; • 2014 "La mia musica" exhibition at the "13 Arts" gallery in Oristano; • 2015 photography exhibition at the DriMcafè Literary Cafeteria in Oristano; • 2016 photography exhibition on women's music, as part of the "La tempesta delle donne" event at the "Casa del Pane" in Villaurbana; • 2016 photography exhibition on women's music, as part of the "La tempesta delle donne 3" event at the "Casa Licheri" in Ruinas; • 2016-2017 photography exhibition on women's music, as part of the "La tempesta delle donne 4" event at the "Is Bangius" museum in Marrubiu; • 2019 Photographic exhibition "Silent Homophonies" at the Cafesiňo bar in Oristano; • 2020 Photographic exhibition "Following the Milky Way" in Olbia, curated by the "Politecnico Argonauti" as part of the popular photography festival "Storie di un attimo" about the shepherds' protest over the price of milk. • 2020 Photographic exhibition "Silent Homophonies" as part of the regional event "A Banda" - 2023 Photographic exhibition "Silent Homophonies" at the "Malerba Foundation for Photography" in Milan Awards Latest Awards • In 2017, an image of the Ardia di Sediolo was published in the magazine "Il Fotografo". • In 2018, an image of the Ardia di Sediolo was published among the top ten of October on the online page of the magazine National Geographic; • In 2019, 1st place in the "No Photo Reposare" competition, Summer section, organized by the FASI Federation of Sardinian Associations in Italy in Padua and sponsored by the Sardinia Region. In 2023, Honorable Mention at the International Photography Award in Los Angeles for the photobook ARDIA, a timeless race
