About Artist

Steve Gelineau

At the core, I am a creative artist. I create art through my digital photography and the image processing tools it offers. My photo subjects are eclectic and range from grand vistas to macro-objects, and from carefully captured realism to inventively created abstractions. I can work with a planned focus in the field or my studio, but I’m always open to serendipitous photo opportunities, no matter where I am. I enjoy creating richly colored images as well as stark black and whites. Long exposures and images conveying a sense of motion or gesture are also interests of mine. Several dozen of my images have been honored with various recognitions in local, national and international competitions. I have also been invited to exhibit my work on several occasions in both physical settings as well as online galleries. I took my first photograph at age nine with a six-dollar Kodak Brownie Starlet film camera given to me by my father, a professional photojournalist. That was 65 years ago, and I’m still taking pictures and making art!
