Museum Building
The Museum of Islamic Art in Doha is built on an island off an artificial projecting peninsula. Designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning Chinese American architect I.M. Pei, the museum opened in 2008 and is noted for its vast collection of Islamic art spanning 1300 years.
About Artist
Yan Zhao
A photography enthusiast with a Ph.D. in computer science specialized in computer graphics and geometric modeling. I worked for IBM Research and other high-tech companies in my early career, then moved to management consulting, as a chief architect in enterprise architecture. Photography is my new endeavor in recent years, which could be a natural extension from my hobby and talent in paintings at younger age.
