About Artist

Katrin Weiss

Fine art photographer and conservationist whose work explores the fragile boundary between presence and absence in the natural world. Moving between landscapes, wildlife, and quiet traces of human influence. Born in Germany and now based in the United States. Whether capturing wildlife or remote landscapes, each subject is chosen with a sense of respect and emotional proximity, reflecting a belief that photography can deepen awareness without imposing narrative, allowing viewers to form their own relationship with the natural world, creating a space for reflection—where the viewer is not only an observer of nature, but a participant in its uncertain future. "The world is filled with beauty and unfortunately not enough people realize it or see it. To be able to go out into the world and visit wild places and experience the bio-diversity of our planet, whether it is in -30-degree weather in Mongolia or right here next to my home in Southwest Florida, is incredibly important. Only we can save our planet."
