I’m a Cleveland-based photographer exploring the character of the natural world through black and white. I’m drawn to moments when light, weather, and perspective make a landscape feel unexpected, whether that’s a moon resting above a mountain spire or a forest disappearing into mist. My ongoing national parks project explores the distinct atmosphere of each place through its textures, shapes, and contrasts. From the quiet of an Appalachian forest to the immense scale of the Canadian Rockies, I want each photograph to convey something of what it felt like to be there. My approach begins with curiosity: noticing something, stopping to look more closely, and finding a composition that gives that feeling a lasting form.
