Lonely Climb
A solemn walk to the top of the stairs to enter the chapel next to the Forum, in Rome.
About Artist
Gregory Buck
Photography captured my imagination as a child, reading magazines. I grew up dreaming of adventures, fashion, and traveling around the world. Because of that, I have a curious eye & diverse portfolio -capturing life thru documentary, travel, and studio photography. Over the years, I have been fortunate to continually develop and refine my skills in various ways. My unique creative vision was shaped by 20 years of working in special operations organizations. This period was marked by high-stakes situations and navigating diverse cultures, always with an undercurrent of compassion. These experiences now inform my artistic practice. My goal is to translate my experiences into consistently insightful visions. I don't just document locations or subjects; I look to distill their essence with clarity and empathy. An acute sense of observation, the ability to perceive subtle details, and a deep appreciation for human resilience and complexity are the hallmarks of my imagery. Whether capturing the raw intensity of a remote landscape, the unspoken narrative in a fleeting human interaction, or the stark beauty found in unexpected places, I aim for my work to be a testament to a life lived with intensity. I hope you find my compositions to be both immediate and deeply resonant, challenging you to see the world anew.
