This farmstead home is on the prairie of eastern Montana. Abandoned, nature is slowly reclaiming it for itself.

Clint Whitmer
Clint Whitmer was born August 2, 1944, in Glendive, MT. My father was a water well driller. I later became a geologist and secured a MSSE in Science Teaching. I too my first photos as a Combat Medic in 1969 in Vietnam. Later during an overseas employment as a consulting geologist, I took many photos of the Omani people and the Arabic culture. Returning to Montana, I focused my camera on Native American culture. I took many photos of the oil field during my employment there. I started with an Olympus pen f that I bought in the Americal division PX in Chu Lai, Vietnam. I bought a Nikon 801 camera in Oman. While an Instructor at a Native American junior college, I bought a Canon camera. I had a Bronica SQA which I used for wedding photography. I switched to digital in 2000, have owned at least four large format printers, and a flatbed scanner. I use various softwares and still print many photographs. I have owned 20 cameras. I still shoot with Nikon cameras, and presently use a Canon printer. I am active in the local photography club. I have had photos in almost 30 exhibits, with a best-of -show, I have been published in calendars, in newspapers and several magazines. I use photography as art, creating art from my images.
