My two great passions are photography and travel. The two are inseparable in my mind. I travel to see, to experience, to understand. Photography is a key tool in this, as well as the way I can share the journey later. Over the years my travels have taken me to wonderful far-flung places from Isfahan to Lhasa, the Sahara to the Gobi. But however impressive the sights, it is my encounters with ordinary/extraordinary people that mean the most to me. I enjoy entering international salons and I'm lucky enough to have won many awards in a range of categories. I have also been successful in major competitions including Travel Photographer of the Year (category Winner in 2025), World Food Photography, Wanderlust, National Geographic Traveller, and USA Landscape Photographer of the Year. My work has appeared widely in the photographic press and also in exhibitions at the RPS, the Royal Geographical Society, the Museum of the Home, London, and even in BA in-flight entertainment!
