I am an Australian landscape and portrait photographer, and I believe a photograph is not fully realised until it exists as a physical object—something that can be held, examined, and experienced beyond the screen. My work explores the interplay of light and shadow, observing both the natural world and the human condition with a quiet, considered eye. I first picked up a camera at 16, beginning a lifelong relationship with photography that has now spanned more than 50 years. This journey included a 35-year career in commercial photography, where I developed both technical discipline and visual clarity. Today, I work more freely, no longer shaped by briefs or corporate mood boards, allowing instinct and personal curiosity to guide my practice. My work has been recognised in several major awards, including being selected as a finalist in the 2025 Galah Regional Photography Prize and the National Photographic Portrait Prize in 2011. I have exhibited widely, including in the Mosman 2088 exhibitions and in group exhibitions across Glasgow, Tokyo, Newcastle, and China. My work has also been shown in both solo and collaborative exhibitions in Sydney and Newcastle. I live in Newcastle, Australia.
