Artist Bio Konstantin Goustov is a fine art photographer based in Einsiedeln, Switzerland. Born in Moscow in 1969, he developed an early connection to visual art through his education at art school before turning to photography as his primary artistic medium. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Art Photography. Working primarily in portraiture, Goustov explores human presence, emotion, identity and the relationship between the visible and the inner self. His photographs are characterized by carefully constructed compositions, controlled light and a reduced visual language in which gesture, gaze, fabric and symbolic objects become carriers of emotional meaning. His photographic practice has developed intensively since 2024 and encompasses both individual portraits and conceptual bodies of work. Among his ongoing projects is Elements of Being, an overarching exploration of presence, transformation and identity, including The Body as Landscape and The Same Soul – Two Forms of Being. Goustov’s work has been presented in exhibitions and recognized through international photography awards. In 2026, he was selected by Dodho Magazine among its Best 100 Portrait Photographers. Through his work, he seeks to create portraits that move beyond physical likeness, approaching photography as a space in which individuality, vulnerability and emotional presence can become visible.
