Kelly O’Leary is a multidisciplinary visual artist, a B&W fine art landscape + nature photographer and minimalist abstract painter. Born in Southern FL and raised in the Midwestern United States, she has spent a great deal of her adult life along the Georgia & Carolina coasts and currently resides and works just outside of Savannah, GA. Kelly is drawn to the perfection of nature and beauty found in the imperfect, from delicate to grandiose to those things left to ruin. With a tactile eye, she gravitates to organic forms, the magic of luminosity, and the intricate details of line and shadow. She is pulled by the lull of the ocean and the solace of quiet spaces. Preferring a sense of abstraction, she utilizes B&W photography to remove the extraneous and amplify details, developing mood & creating a more emotive expression. Her compositions look beyond the obvious and pare down abundant landscapes or vistas, in order to isolate her subjects and convey an intimate sense of place. With thoughtful intention, she captures images through her lens that possess a sense of calm, a quiet stillness. She is most at home wandering in Nature's solitude.
