Bio

Born in 1986, Yan Qi currently resides and works in Beijing, where she holds the position of Executive Director at the Three Shadows Photography Art Centre. She obtained her Master's degrees in Fine Arts and Contemporary Art Management from the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and the Institut d'études supérieures des arts (IESA) in France, respectively. Yan Qi has curated various exhibition projects, including "Lingering in Time: Koo Bohnchang's Photography" (2021), "Soon to Be Gone" (2020), "Three Shadows Photography Award Exhibition" (2019, 2020), and “The Power of Image" China (Datong) International Photography Culture Exhibition, among others. To support and encourage young photographers, she initiated and consecutively organized three editions of the "Three Shadows PhoPho Fair" (2019 - 2022). Yan Qi served as the Executive Director of the Jimei x Arles International Photo Festival from 2020 to 2022 and became a member of its Art Committee in 2023.
