Bio
Paris Chong is the Gallery Director and Curator of the prestigious Leica Gallery Los Angeles. With more than two decades of curatorial experience, she has represented galleries and artists at leading international fairs and festivals including Photo LA, Photo SF, Paris Photo, Paris Photo LA, and The Palm Springs Photo Festival, as well as promoting Leica Gallery LA globally at Art Basel and Photo Paris. A respected juror and portfolio reviewer, Chong has served with organizations such as The International Photography Awards (Lucies), FotoFest, Exposure One Awards, reFocus, Critical Mass, British Journal of Photography’s OpenWalls, Paris International Street Photography Awards, Photo Lucida, LACP, ASMP, Leica Women Photo Project, and many others. At Leica Gallery LA, she has curated exhibitions ranging from legendary masters like Henri Cartier-Bresson, Sebastião Salgado, Jim Marshall, and Mary Ellen Mark to contemporary icons including Neal Preston, Julian Lennon, Lenny Kravitz, Mathieu Bitton, Nikki Sixx, and Ralph Gibson. She is also recognized as a pioneer of the pop-up exhibition format, producing successful events in New York, Las Vegas, Napa Valley, and Palm Springs. Beyond her curatorial work, Chong has served on the boards of the West Hollywood Design District and The Foundation for The AIDS Monument, and she curates still-life photography exhibitions for the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC). She is also the host of The Paris Chong Show podcast, where she engages in conversations with leading voices in art and culture.
