Bruce in an independent fine art photographer who lives in Moab, UT. From his beloved desert home he roams is big back yard as he considers the entire Colorado Plateau - and beyond, as home. His images have appeared in 2-dozen books, NPS interpretive shows and other outlets. He's designed multi-media programs for area conservation organizations including the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance and the Utah Wilderness Association. Hucko is a dedicated photographic educator. In 2004, he founded the Moab Photography Symposium and directed it until 2025. He now operates Fill Your Frame Photo Workshops that combined field and printing sessions. For the past 40+ years Hucko has also served as Art Coach! to elementary-aged children at school on the Utah Navajo Reservation, the Eight Northern Pueblos of New Mexico and at home in Moab for which he's received area, state and national accolades including a 1984 Rockefeller Brothers Fund Award for Excellence in Arts Education. Hucko dabbles in painting, drawing, writing and yardwork! When not at home he's hard to find as photo excursions take him to little known photo locations in Utah, Nevada, Arizona and California. He enjoys the company of friends, especially if that includes making a good meal and sipping fine red wines or tequila!
