About Artist
Jacqueline Schletter
Jacqueline Schletter is a fine art nature photographer, educator, and workshop leader based in South Carolina's Lowcountry. Her work explores the intersection of wildlife, landscape, abstraction, and minimalism, transforming authentic moments in nature into images that emphasize rhythm, negative space, light, and emotion over documentation alone. Rather than pursuing spectacle, she is drawn to quiet moments—a feather illuminated against darkness, a solitary bird suspended in reflection, mangroves standing in still water, or movement reduced to shape and color. Her photographs invite viewers to slow down and discover beauty in simplicity. Working exclusively with ethical wildlife practices, Jacqueline believes that patience, observation, and thoughtful post-processing can reveal a more personal interpretation of the natural world without compromising its authenticity. Her photographs have received recognition from organizations including the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), the American Photography Awards (APA), the ND Awards, NANPA, the International Photography Awards (IPA), the Juliet Margaret Cameron Awards, and numerous international juried exhibitions. Her work has also been featured in Edge of Humanity Magazine. When she isn't creating new work, Jacqueline leads small-group photography workshops designed to help photographers move beyond camera settings and develop their own artistic vision.
