Lucas Bullens is a Swiss born artist based in London, specialising in the medium of photography. Interested in transcendental states, Lucas’ practice revolves around exploring both the physical and metaphysical. Using the camera as an instrument, he seeks to extract the immaterial buried within the material. His work plays with the abstraction of forms found in the natural world. The mostly monochromatic scenes he presents are a minimalist yet intricate reflection of the spaces he feels around him. Earning an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art in 2022, Lucas is an award winning artist and a part-time lecturer at UAL, London.
