About Artist
James Sparshatt
James Sparshatt is a British photographic artist whose work dramatically captures the vibrancy and emotional intensity of life. His black and white images of music and dance from around the world; including jazz from New Orleans; flamenco of Spain, tango from Argentina, salsa from the streets of Havana and Carnaval in Brazil, are full of movement and emotion. He has been exhibited in New York, Texas, London, Spain, Cuba and across the UK. His exhibition at the Royal National Theatre was described in the Sunday Telegraph as “a dazzling collection of black and white images...”. A selection of his work is produced in collaboration with 31 Studio as palladium platinum prints - the ultimate in collectible bespoke craft printing. James’ work has been a winner of the Black and White Spider Awards and the International Exhibition at the Center for Fine Art Photography and has been a finalist at the Sony World Photographic Awards and the World Photography Gala awards.
