Zhengjie Wu, also known as “Wai-Jie,” is a Chinese photographer whose work spans landscapes, aerials, astrophotography, underwater black-water life, and cultural storytelling. He is the 500px China Brand Ambassador, Divevolk Brand Ambassador, a contracted photographer with Visual China, and a member of the China Exploration Association. Over the years, he has created more than 60 official sample images for global smartphone launches with Huawei, vivo, Honor, OPPO, and Xiaomi. Wu’s photography has been honored with numerous international awards, including the Overall Champion of the 2025 vivo VISION+ Awards, the Gold Award in the OnePlus Global Photo Contest, the Champion in the Landscape category of the MPA World Photography Awards, and the Gold Award in the GCPA Global Chinese Photography Awards. His works have been exhibited at leading events such as the Jimei x Arles International Photo Festival, Beijing International Photography Week, and the Huawei XMAGE Global Tour. Blending scientific curiosity with poetic expression, Wu explores extreme natural phenomena—from deserts, volcanoes, and star-filled skies to the deep ocean—capturing the silent dialogue between Earth and the cosmos.
