How beautiful to witness the depth of a life experience; the depth of the soul; the infinity of the Universe on her face. A look that has seen it all and yet is still innocent. Representative of the Triqui community. she teaches her community waist weaving, a legacy for subsequent generations.

About Artist

Nacho Cremona

I believe that Photography, in addition to being built with the look, implies an emotional connection, with the human being, the beauty of a landscape or even with the simplest things. Living in Buenos Aires and later in Mexico City, much of my photography takes place in the streets, where the unexpected, the unpredictable, arises. We live in a time when the world is immersed in a hurry, stress, and we don´t stop to gaze, especially the people that surround us. Looking through the camera for me is a way to slow down and be present to what's going on out there. A significant part of my photos are about people, seeking to capture their essence and reveal their life stories in a powerful and beautiful way. The looks, hands, expressions, say a lot, reflect the depths of being; resistance, hope, wisdom, beliefs. I print my work on paper, so that photographed moment becomes real, and is not only visible in the digital world. The cycle is complete when I manage to reach people again to give them a printed copy. That photo will be our means to stay connected. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1976. Initially formed as an Industrial Engineer, and then as Music Drummer. In 2000 I began my connection with Photography through a 1969 Nikon F camera.  I started my photography training in Argentina through different analog photography courses, learning to work with negative films, and making copies in the dark room. When I moved to live in Mexico City I studied at “Gimnasio de Arte” and “Escuela Activa de Fotografía” to develop my skills with Digital Photography Finally through the “Escuela Diego Ortiz Mugica” I developed my personal portfolio during 2021-2022. Exhibitions: - BADA, Mexico City (Feb 2024) - photoMiami, Miami Art Week (Dec 2023) - To Dream of Beauty Near & Far, The Black and White Gallery - One Art Space, New York (Apr 2023) - 50 Years – 50 Images, Biennial of Photo Hanoi (Vietnam, May 2023) - Texturas a lo largo del tiempo, Galeria La 101, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico (Mar 2023) - La Belleza de Las Formas, FOLA Buenos Aires, Argentina (Nov2021)
