Im a biologist by training, but I am working as a teacher at a school for grown-ups right now. I got into photography when I was in my teens. My first camera was a Canon A-1. Back then I focused on people, mainly family and friends. Since then it has been an on/off kind of relationship. Only in recent years did I start with underwater photography while diving. With my new camera, a Canon EOS R10, I started shooting on land again as well. I ventured into street and architecture photography for a while as well, but in the end the biologist in me took over and I started focussing on wildlife, especially macro, because that is where I feel at home most.
