American Highway, 4

Highways in America have very distinctive characteristics. They stretch in seemingly endless straight lines, flanked by diverse landscapes. While driving, I was amazed by the ever-changing weather and the vast, barren land, which together create a surreal atmosphere within the frame.

About Artist

Yong Min Park

Yong Min Park is a photographer based in NYC. He focuses on capturing moments of silence and dream-like scenes through the camera. He started photography because he was drawn to the hyper-realistic potential of this art form, which can both depict reality and distort it. He is mainly influenced by Edward Steichen, Hiroshi Sugimoto, and Andre Kertesz. His work varies from snapshots to conceptual fine art photography.
