A tribute to traditional still life painting, a simple orange that we find in our everyday life at the market can hold immense details when captured in black and white. When examined up close, you can identify the parametric geometry forming the skin which we tend to overlook. A beauty to behold.

Discovery of the Year

From the rooftop of my residential building, I paused to take in a view where the clouds carried a youthful grandeur. In monochrome, that freshness was tempered with drama, as the dark blue sky in the top right deepened the scene’s undertone. The buildings below give a sense of scale and proximity.
