February.17.1988 Born in Hyogo (Japan) He earned a master's degree in modern art history at a Japanese graduate school. He discovered and joined the Naniwa Photography Club, Japan's oldest photography organization. His work is influenced by the photographers who belonged to the club, including Nakaji Yasui, Kiyoshi Koishi, and Yoho Tsuda. For the past 15 years, he has struggled to decide what to photograph. He was most influenced by the words of folk art photographer Hideo Haga: "Art photography does not become documentary photography, but documentary photography becomes art photography."
