Bio
Nazli Erbes is a Turkish multidisciplinary artist, photographer, and art director based in New York. She holds a BFA in Integrated Design and an MFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design. Her work translates ideas into clear and considered visual forms. Her background in design anchors her visual sensibility, while her photographic practice brings conceptual rigor and a research-driven approach to image-making and visual development. In collaborative creative work, she moves between research, concept development, and art direction, bringing them together into a coherent visual language. Guided by curiosity, her studio practice explores the dualities that shape everyday life. Through close observation, deliberate distortion, and chance operations, she constructs visual fields that reveal how the simple and familiar can become entirely surreal when looked at closely.
