Julianne Rose is an Australian photographer based in Paris with over 30 years of professional experience. Her work explores the intersection of natural and constructed identities through a lens that blurs reality and fiction. Recognized as Australia's Face of the '80s, she began her career as a model in 1985, before transitioning to fashion and advertising photography in the early '90s. This dual perspective, both subject and observer, deeply informs her artistic approach. Rose plays with form, masks, and installations to challenge conventional representation, questioning the tensions between authenticity and artifice. She invites the viewer into her images, challenging their own perceptions of what they see and their own sense of identity. Recently, her projects have explored humanity’s evolving relationship with its environment, examining themes of interdependence and self-perception. Whether working on a specific series or simply documenting life, Julianne is never without her camera, constantly seeking to capture the ephemeral moments that define our existence.
