Bio
Already as a kid Frank Wartenberg was very interested in photography. He got his first camera from his father when he was six years old. As a schoolboy he was developping his own photographs and was printing black and white prints in the dark chamber. But after school his family didn ́t encourage him to choose photography as profession, that ́s why he studied law at university. He never gave up his passion for photography. When he was a student, he worked as a press photographer at concerts of The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Eartha Kitt, Madness, Astrud Gilberto and many more. He decided to give photography a try and opened up his own studio in Hamburg, Germany. At that time he did stillife photography as well as people photography. He realised very quickly that people photography was the field that tempted him most: portrait, fashion and beauty. He worked for magazines like BRIGITTE, ELLE, STERN, DER SPIEGEL, MAX, COSMOPOLITAN, Men ́s Health and for fashion and beauty brands like Peek & Cloppenburg, S. OLIVER, BRAX , NEW YORKER, GOLDWELL, WELLA, NIVEA and L`OREAL. In the US Frank Wartenberg worked in NYC for COTY, BLOOMINGDALES, LOGITECH and ESPN. Today Frank is living with his wife and daughter and Golden Retriever in his hometown Hamburg. He is famous for his strong and sensitive portrait photography as well as for his artistic work.
